Exam booking
There is no public exam calendar to wait for. You finish the Dubai Real Estate Institute broker course, your brokerage registers you with DLD, and you sit the exam. Book it when your practice scores say you are ready. Facts checked 12 Oct 2026; every figure names its source.
A multiple-choice paper on Dubai real estate law, RERA procedure, ethics and real estate maths. DLD does not publish the question count or time on one page; reports range from 30 to 100 questions in 60 minutes to 2 hours. Our default practice exam is 50 questions in 1 hour, scored against 75%, the pass mark most often reported.

Reports differ: unlimited retakes with a fee each time (Bayut, Oct 2025), or one free retake (ierei.ae, Dec 2024; dxbtraining.ae, May 2026). Review every miss by domain before you rebook. See RERA exam retakes.
Your broker card is valid for one year and is renewed through Trakheesi. Whether renewal needs another test or training has changed over the years (annual tests were announced in 2018 and for January 2023), so check the current rule with DLD before your card expires.

About AED 772.5 including VAT and DLD's knowledge and innovation fees, as reported by Bayut (21 Oct 2025) and Dubizzle; one training provider quotes AED 785 (Dec 2024). The DREI course is separate, about AED 2,400-3,500 across approved providers. Confirm the fee shown at payment (as at 12 Oct 2026).
Yes. Bayut (Oct 2025) says you can retake as many times as you need, paying the fee each time; two training providers (Dec 2024, May 2026) say a first retake is free. DLD does not publish the rule, so check with your training provider.
DLD announced annual tests for renewal in 2018 and again for January 2023 (Emarat Al Youm, 2 Nov 2022, reporting DLD). Current renewal rules are not published in one place; ask DLD or your brokerage before your card expires. The broker card is valid for one year.
