Noura has completed her broker training and passed the DLD's brokerage test. She asks which body Law No. 5 of 2020 empowers to issue qualification certificates to real estate practitioners. Which is it?
Law No. 5 of 2020, which superseded Law No. 13 of 2012, governs the Dubai Real Estate Institute, a public corporation affiliated to the DLD, and gives it the functions of training people working in the sector and issuing and awarding qualification certificates to practitioners. RERA issues identification cards to people conducting real property activities under Article 5(7) of Law No. 4 of 2019, which is a different document. Dubai Chamber membership and the trade licence are separate registration documents under Article 6 of Bylaw No. 85 of 2006.
